I feel honoured to be invited to host the most plenary workshops at the biggest conference in our field. I’m also very happy to have had the opportunity to combine both of my passions, my research in advanced nuclear materials as well as my commitment to public awareness and gender balance in the nuclear field. I’m very proud of myself for pulling this off, and looking forward to what’s to come! I’d like to devote a huge thank you to all of the organisers of the conference as well as to my audience.
