My PhD Dissertation

Last Friday, I successfully defended my PhD thesis titled “Irradiation response, thermophysical and mechanical properties of pure and doped uranium mononitride”, admittedly in the most stunning room at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in the R1 reactor hall. ⚛️
The presentation went great, and the discussion with the opponent and committee was interesting; I thoroughly enjoyed it. 🎤
Thank you to Erofili Kardoulaki for travelling all the way from Los Alamos National Laboratory to be my opponent, as well as my committee members Ragnhild E. Aune, Marta-Lena Antti and Robert Harrison for travelling to KTH Royal Institute of Technology and being part of my dissertation.
Thank you to my supervisors, Janne Wallenius and Diogo Costa, for the interesting discussions and support during this process.
Thank you to all my family, friends and colleagues, Maria Giamouridou, Pär Olsson, Nils Wikström, Eloi Pallarès, Abril Aayush G S, Anita Pazzaglia, Kaitlyn Bullock, Daria Kolbas, Qiuguo Yang and everyone else, for making my day special and sharing this milestone with me! 💜
Thank you to Stiftelsen för strategisk forskning, SSF, for funding our project SUNRISE Centre and for making all the work above possible, as well as for funding all the life-changing conference trips during my PhD! 🛫
