At CET 2026 in Oskarshamn, Sweden, I moderated a panel on Competence Supply in the Nuclear Sector, bringing together perspectives from industry, academia, government, students and the nuclear young generation. The discussion focused on one of the key challenges facing the nuclear sector as it expands: where will the people and skills needed for new nuclear come from? We explored which competencies the sector needs to start developing today, what makes students and young professionals choose nuclear, and how we can attract, develop and retain talent.
